The Yard.

A shared yard at the core of a multi-building tech campus, built to bring the people who work here back outside.
The buildings were fine. The problem was the space between them.
A campus that had gone quiet.
Built as a corporate tech campus, Canyon Park had quietly gone dim. Occupancy was slipping, the identity had dated, and the outdoor space came down to tired sport courts and not much else.
The Muller Company took it on with one goal and one rule. The goal: make the campus the reason companies stay, not just a place they rent. The rule: leave the buildings alone. No structural renovation.
So the whole job landed outside, on the ground nobody was using.

Fire and seating turn the middle of a workday campus into somewhere worth lingering. The old courts never managed that.
One continuous outdoor room that can be a quiet coffee at nine and a food-truck crowd at noon. Movable furnishings and clear sightlines do the work, so the yard flexes without losing its identity.

Design the culture, not just the space.
Every move had to land in the landscape, so nothing out here is a feature for its own sake. The open lawn takes yoga, fitness classes, food trucks and team gatherings. Fire, hammocks and a kitchen ring it and stretch the day into the evening.
It has to take a beating, and it does. Weather-resistant materials, synthetic turf and permeable paving hold up under constant traffic without a heavy maintenance load. The planting is drought-tolerant: lush to look at, lean on water.
Color and texture tie the yard to the campus brand, so it reads as part of the place, not bolted on. Every decision got the same test. Would this get someone outside?

The space between became the point.
The middle of the campus, the part nobody used, is now the part people head for.
For The Muller Company, whose portfolio is built on repositioning underperforming assets, the yard became the campus’s leasing and marketing story.
And it makes the case for every aging office park out there. Outdoor space isn’t a luxury. It’s the lever.
