Design Manager
JOB OVERVIEW
The Design Manager will be helping to oversee the design of high-profile rooftop amenity projects. They will attend initial design meetings, run team design charrettes, and draw design concepts. They will take part in mentoring and training younger staff, including interns as needed on all things design.
The Design Manager is also responsible to use a cintiq tablet to draw the design linework, color render the design, produce parti diagrams and other section/elevations graphics by hand as needed to explain the design. They will help prepare design packages and present the design to the clients and team as needed.
Day to day responsibilities include working directly with clients, communicating with other design consultants, and attending coordination meetings and speaking to rooftop-specific design considerations.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Highly motivated and interested in rooftop amenity design
- Teachable and eager to learn
- Impressive design skills and an ability communicate ideas
- Leadership attributes to mentor supporting staff
- Enjoys solving problems and serving clients
- 1 – 3 years of experience working at a landscape architecture firm or similar experience
